Stanground Academy's Rising Football Freestyle Star: Jack Inspires

At the youthful age of 14, Jack, a student at our very own Stanground Academy, is making waves as a football freestyler with almost 8000 followers on his social media account. Not only has Jack showcased his skills on social media, but he has also had the privilege of meeting football legends like Roberto Carlos, Peter Crouch, Rio Ferdinand, and Ledley King.

In October 2023, Jack reached a significant milestone in his growing career by organising his first football freestyle camp at Yaxley FC. Drawing in over 35 children aged 4-11, the event was a testament to Jack's ability to inspire and teach. Jack received support from former Peterborough Sports player and current Scunthorpe forward, Dion Sembie-Ferris, as well as his uncle, the sports legend turned Scunthorpe manager.

Our uniform supplier, Chromasport, offered a sponsorship which made the event possible, utilising Yaxley FC's facilities. Plans are already underway for future events; talks to lead a football training club after school are in the works too!

Roxanne, Jack's mother, conveyed her pride, stating that she is genuinely proud of his accomplishments and the manner in which he has established a successful business at such a young age. She also emphasised his self-reliance in managing everything on his own. Mr Van Lier also expressed how proud he was for achieving such a career at his age, and thinks that his expertise would be immensely valued at an after-school club whilst also helping to boost his experience!

As a pupil at Stanground Academy, Jack embarked on his journey to internet stardom by dedicating his time to mastering an array of freestyle football skills. Beyond his current success, Jack dreams of one day playing for Liverpool FC, a team close to both his and his uncle's hearts.

Jack's story is not just one of personal achievement, but also a testament to the power of passion and determination. As he continues to inspire fellow pupils and build his brand, the Stanground Academy community eagerly awaits the next chapter in Jack's remarkable journey.

Keep an eye out for more exciting developments from this rising star within our school!
