Courmayeur Ski Trip

Courmayeur Ski Trip 28 December 2019 - 05 January 2020

Firstly, we would like to thank all the students for being so well behaved during the Courmayeur skiing trip.

They all worked very hard each day to learn basic skiing techniques, enabling them to work towards different runs down the mountain. A lot of the students were mixed with different year groups and students they may have never known before the trip; this didn't phase any of them from being friendly and supportive amongst each other to help each other improve. They really were amazing!

Students were up and ready for breakfast at 7.45am each day so we could get an early start, to get up and ready on the mountain for 9.00am. The early mornings were a struggle, but they all did very well each day to stick to our tight schedule, enabling us to have the best experience. Lunch was provided every day in various restaurants on the mountain.

Students had the opportunity to visit Courmayeur village to have ice cream and explore the shops. We also went out to a restaurant for all you can eat pizza (students LOVED it). Another evening, we all had the opportunity to go ice skating, where we got to witness the Italian Olympic Ice Skating Team; safe to say we were not professionals like them, but students still had a great time.

On our last night, our skiing instructors joined us for dinner and delivered a presentation on behalf of their groups. They shared their highlights of their group they taught and awarded each student with a certificate stating what level they achieved and a badge for them to take home.

Overall, students had the best possible experience, due to their good behaviour and dedication to learn something new. The majority of students said they would be interested in another ski trip in the future.

A massive thank you to the staff and students for being fantastic ambassadors of the Academy and a special thank you to our staff for giving up their holidays to support the students.
