Transition Days & Evening

Transition Days for Children

Following two years of not being able to hold face-to-face transition days for our pupils, we are expecting to be able to welcome our new pupils to the school on Wednesday 02 July 2025 and Thursday 03 July 2025 for transition visits. This will be a fantastic opportunity for your children to start getting to know our school site, some of our teachers and, most importantly, start making some new friends.

We have children from approximately 26 different primary schools coming in September, so if your child is the only person coming from their primary school, please reassure them that they will not be on their own and that the transition days are designed to help them meet new people ahead of their start in September.

Transition Evening for Parents/ Carers

The Transition evening for parents/ carers will be held on Wednesday 02 July 2025 at our Activity Studio located at Stanground Sports Centre.

Mr Van Lier will be delivering two brief speeches, each packed with essential information, lasting 20 minutes.

Here's the timings:

  1. 3:30pm - 3:50pm
  2. 5:00pm - 5:20pm

While speeches are taking place, you can walk around our Transition Fair to meet your child's tutor, say hello to our Head and the two Deputy Heads of Year 7, and find new friends!

If you have any queries about which speech you are booked in for, please get in touch with the academy.

Transition for SEND Pupils

Our SEND team will also start to contact the schools who they feel would benefit from a little extra support through transition. They will invite some pupils in for some additional visits to try and minimise the anxiety associated with moving schools.
