Admissions to the Stanground Academy 

Pupils are admitted at the start of, and during, two main stages:

  • secondary year 7 (age 11)
  • secondary post-16 (age 16)

Admission numbers:

a)  300 full time places - year 7
b)  300 full time places - post 16 (including all year 11 pupils at the Academy who choose to stay on for their Post-16 education)

To apply for a place at the Stanground Academy

For admission to secondary year 7, in the year preceding admission, parents should apply using Peterborough City Council's Schools Admission process.

For admission in September 2016, these forms can be accessed on-line from Monday 7 September 2015 and all forms should be returned to Peterborough City Council by 5.00pm for paper copies and midnight for on-line applications on 31 October 2015.

Right of Appeal

There will be a right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel for unsuccessful applicants relating to admissions at age 11 or above.  Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal.
