Key Stage Five Curriculum Model

Our sixth form curriculum offers a broad and diverse range of subjects which gives students the foundation knowledge into discreet chosen career pathways and academic next steps. The sixth form curriculum is delivered by specialist subject teachers who have extensive knowledge and skill in their areas of learning coupled with the experience to deliver successful outcomes for their learners.

Our Sixth Form curriculum offer thereby fully meets and supports the principles of the 16 to 19 study programmes insofar that it provides a structured and challenging individualised learning programme that promotes development and progression.

In timetabling our Sixth Form subjects, we aim to satisfy the maximum possible number of student choices.

When studying at Stanground Academy, students choose to specialise in a minimum of three subjects from the list below:

Students will undertake 5 teacher-led lessons per subject, totalling 15 hours, with an additional one hour per subject allocated to subject specific independent study.
