We understand that transitioning to a new school can be an exciting yet challenging time for both students and parents. At Stanground Academy, we have designed a comprehensive transition package to ensure a smooth and supportive start for all our new students.

In preparation for welcoming new students to Stanground Academy in September 2026, we would like to share our upcoming additional transition programme, designed to support transition for youngsters with additional needs.  We understand that many would benefit from the opportunity to visit and engage with the Personalised Learning Team in advance of the main transition days on Wednesday 01 and Thursday 02 July 2026.

Our programme begins on Tuesday 19 May 2026 and includes a rotation of 6 sessions delivered during the morning and afternoons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.  We require students to be accompanied by a familiar member of staff, or a parent / carer.

• Morning sessions 09.30–11.00

• Afternoon sessions 14.00–15.00

We will also offer an after-school session on Wednesdays 15.15–16.15 solely for parents to accompany their children.
